Head of Scripted Jane Langford brings a breadth of knowledge that helps make
Saffron Cherry a modern outfit that can create series for the increasingly global
marketplace.

At Sony Pictures Television, where she served as Director of Scripted
Development, she worked on drama and comedy series with all of Sony’s production companies, especially those in the UK, Russia and Sweden, working on high-end drama series like Left Bank’s Origin and hit comedy series Voronins in Russia.

She’s worked with a number of UK Indies, including Stolen Picture, where she led a new writers initiative focused on young adult content.

And just prior to teaming up with Saffron Cherry, she served as Story Producer for awarding-winning C4 continuing drama Hollyoaks.

She’s helped build a Saffron Cherry Productions slate that crosses
genre and demographics, working with both established and new writing talent.

An American who has chosen Manchester as her adopted home, Jane shares SCP’s
passion for telling local stories with a global appeal and has spearheaded a
partnership with Manchester University’s screenwriting M.A. course and is leading on the new UK Screenskills/DandI Regional Breakthrough Writers Pilot programme.
